Champions Center for Special Children

The Champions Center was established in 1974 and is the only preschool/Day Center that serves children with special needs and different abilities in Anderson, Pickens, and Oconee Counties.  The Center serves approximately 100 special needs children and their families each year. GEC sponsored a table at the Center’s “Moms and Mimosas” fundraiser.  The Episcopal Youth Community participated in “Dot Day,” an event to raise funds as well as to showcase the Center’s new facility on Fant Street. GEC has provided funding for the Champions Center (and the Emergency Soup Kitchen)  through our annual BBQ, totally run by church parishioners.
