Dear Grace Church,
Tides and seasons are always changing.
One of those times of change is now.
Bishop Richards is beginning a rotation of the deacons of the diocese, and this includes Deacon Mary. This is a normal thing, we have just been blessed to have had Mary with us for an unusually long time.
Mary has been officially serving as a deacon at Grace since her ordination in 2014, but her time with us began even before that with her ordination process internship at Grace in 2012.
She is a diligent servant of our Lord, and has been a tremendous help to Grace. But more than that, it is her spirit and good company that will be missed.
Mary’s last Sunday at Grace will be September 7th. She has not been assigned yet to a new congregation. We still have a few weeks to celebrate and give thanks for her time with us, enjoy each moment.
Mary will have a letter to the parish with further details in the October newsletter.
