One of the Blessings I have had over the past year has been the opportunity to pray with the American Baptist Churches of New Jersey. On the 21st day of each month, we gather by Zoom to pray for the year 2021. There are prayers said for the churches and pastors of New Jersey and prayers for the world.
This year the theme of the Annual Sessions Meeting for the American Baptist Churches of New Jersey is Kindness—choose kindness, cultivate kindness, and practice kindness—taken from Colossians 3:12,
As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.
An inspiration for a prayer that could be said to start each day:
Thank you, God, for this day
Thank you, for your presence with me this day.
Please help me to be Kind today.
Help me to choose kindness, encourage kindness, and practice kindness
with everyone I interact with this day.
