As they say . . . the third time is the charm! The concert that was originally planned for March 22, was moved to May 31 and NOW will take place October 4, @ 4PM. Messiah is still in the birthday year of Georg Frederic Handel and we have every plan to make that happen. By October we will need some rejoicing and celebration and what better way than to have some of his most beloved music. Please save your tickets and tell any friends that had planned on coming of our new date.
I want to thank you for all the wonderful comments that you have been sharing on the live stream worship. Please know, that as difficult as it is for you to NOT be at Grace, it is as difficult in a different way to not have you in the sanc- tuary during worship. Your hearts and voices raised in wor- ship can never be replaced for those of us leading worship. Not having the congregation, choir, lectors and everyone else involved leaves a void in the hearts of those who are still leading worship. Because we know you’re there and because you are as fervent in your participation and pres- ence, that is what makes it possible for us to still be there doing our part for your own personal worship.
The question(s) that arises is the worship that you are expe- riencing, how will that impact your journey forward? What do you notice that is different within you? How will that transform your journey forward when we finally all meet together again? Time will tell us each individually.
It has been a pleasure providing music for your worship experience and my hope is that the prelude, postlude and Psalm enhance your complete worship experience.
Be well and peace be within your walls, O Jerusalem!
